Pescara Calcio is at the center of a new controversy after the club's press officer, Massimo Mucciante, resigned following an altercation with the mascot Ciuffo during the match against Spezia. The incident has emerged on Facebook and has caused a great stir among fans. According to reports, Mucciante approached Ciuffo and hit him with punches and slaps, in front of hundreds of children and thousands of spectators. The mascot, impersonated by the Mazzioli twins, was present in the field alongside his brother Yuri, who wore the mascot costume. Loris Mazzioli, present in the field, told the story and said that Mucciante behaved in an unacceptable way. 'It was a trivial incident', Mazzioli said. 'In the attempt of the photographers to immortalize the triumph, my brother would have found himself involuntarily on the trajectory of the shots'. Mucciante resigned following this incident and left his position as press officer of Pescara Calcio.
