Pescara is being represented with honor at the Football for Friendship, an international youth football tournament organized by Gazprom in St. Petersburg. The twelve-year-old youngsters from the Delfino Pescara youth team, Niccolò Postiglione and Alessio Canepari, are representing Italy at the fifth edition of the tournament. The team is accompanied by Luca D'Ulisse, instructor, and Antonio Di Battista, technical director of the Delfino Pescara youth sector. The tournament is a unique opportunity for young footballers to meet boys from all over the world and play together. Niccolò Postiglione played in the White team, a mixed team composed of other twelve-year-olds from Russia, Egypt, Slovakia, Austria, Algeria, and Iran. The semifinal was lost one to zero, but the experience was still positive.
